Boavista Golf is one of the Algarve's newest coastal golf courses. Situated just outside Lagos in the Western Algarve, the course opened fully in January 2002. It is now firmly established as an Algarvian favourite and offers unforgettable golf in a spectacular setting.

The 18 hole golf course was designed by Howard Swan, past president of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects. His Philosophy, to create a course as if it has always been there, has be en sensitively applied to Boavista, preserving, integrating and harmonising with the area's natural terrain.

The par 71 course is an enjoyable challenge to golfers of all abilities. I firmly believe that after a day when ones golf has not been of the standard one would like then the course needs to be a very pleasant walk in order for the day not to be totally ruined! Boavista is more than a pleasant walk. From the stunning views across Lagos Bay from the 1st tee, the glorious tee shot to the layered green at the 6th, the lake holes from all the 14th to the 17th and the final tricky dog leg par 4 18th all contribute to making Boavista a golfing treat.

At the end of the round enjoy a drink and snack at the 19th. The new clubhouse has all that you would wish including a well stocked golf shop.
