The nearest town is Lagos, 2 miles away. It is a historic walled town and has a maze of cobbled streets with lovely shops, restaurants and bars for the holidaymaker to explore.

A new Marina has been developed within the harbour and this contains an assortment of craft ranging from the simple to the down right luxurious. At the harbourside there are shops and cafes to enjoy.

By the port side in the town, trips can be arranged to take in the grottoes, sandstone cliffs and beautiful beaches, often including a barbecue and drinks.

Five minutes away is the beach holiday resort of Luz, providing family watersport activities and delightful seafront cafes and shops. Further to the west are the unspoilt fishing villages of Burgau and Saleema.

Only 25 kilometres away the coastline has a massive transformation as you come upon the vast cliffs and wide beaches of the west coast. One of our favourite places is Praia de Castalejo, reached through the small town of Vila do Bispo.

With spectacular coastlines and over 3000 hours of sunshine ,without a doubt, the Western Algarve offers a perfect holiday destination.
